A big plus is to use every single tool in escrima. A mobile,pen etc. The most important plus is, that escrima is for everyone. For older people and handycapped people too. I myself,as a person with a disability in my legs, am proud to be a member of the brotherhood of escrima! Doing latosa escrima for nearly 30 years. My mans, i gotta tell you something by experience. Escrima SAVED my life before! and i'm very thankful for this art of beauty! A felon tried to threat and rob me with a knife, but with preparedness and use of environment. I beat the crap out of them with a pipe wrench in place before calling a police. Best martial arts ever!

I'm doing Wing Chun for over 11 years and Escrima over 7 years. I started just with the idea of gaining new perspectives and ideas. No matter if you use Escrima as a main stile or as a addition the benefits of it are amazing. The body movement/footwork and the confidence with different weapons are like nothing else i've ever expirienced. Only problem: you WILL going to start a big collection of sticks and all kind of training weapons 😅

Good description answers a lot of questions for someone who is looking to take up MA,and is undecided , escrima is the way forward and it can be fun , you also get a lot back from the training. Steve . Escrima sw london.
